Kakira African Dry Gin

Kakira African Dry Gin

You’re missing out if you haven’t tasted African Dry Gin yet.

Kakira is a town in the Eastern region of Uganda. It’s where the country’s biggest sugar cane factory is located. Kakira Spirits was founded to serve a mission: decrease waste and carbon footprint but also contribute to the production process of their sugar estate that was founded in 1930. All their products are made on the 45,000 acre sugar cane estate that sits right on the shores of Lake Victoria which is the principal source of the River Nile. These guys are incredibly dedicated to the conservation of animal species, the environment, and water. They even created a charitable fund so that a percentage of proceeds of bottle sales can be donated to local charities in Uganda. Plus, their Spirits are of top-notch quality.

Kakira African Dry Gin is born in the heart of Africa on the banks of Lake Victoria at the source of the Nile River. Crafted with the finest juniper berries, all the botanicals are grown on the estate and this special Gin is produced farm-to-bottle. The ingredients are steeped and copper-pot distilled, which results in a very refreshing and juniper-forward profile. Bottled at a pleasant 94 proof, expect to taste a plethora of flavors from juniper, pine, black pepper, African lime, coriander, and baking spices. It’s amazing in a G&T yet it can stand perfectly on its own.
